What is a wet belt?
A wet belt is a timing belt designed to run inside the engine in oil. Not all engines use one. Using the correct oil and following the maintenance instructions for your particular engine are important.
Some PSA/PureTech engines use wet belts, but the arrangement depends on the engine and year. Call with your registration, make, model and service history so we can discuss your vehicle. Davies & Sons is an independent garage, not an official manufacturer-affiliated specialist.
If you do not know when the belt was last checked or replaced, or have concerns about its condition, ask for advice. Belt deterioration can lead to serious problems; do not ignore oil-pressure or other stop warnings.

Does every PureTech engine have a wet belt?
No. Engine designs vary. Give us your vehicle details so we can discuss the correct arrangement rather than assuming from the badge alone.
